During the application process, we speak with those we are considering accepting into SKYacademy and often, during these conversations, the applicant wants to know if we can guarantee work upon graduation. Our answer to this question is this…

The search for a position on a private jet must be your full-time job until you have secured a flight on a private jet. We used to be solely a staffing company, and our training was strictly offered in-house to our employees, but last year we pivoted from a staffing company to a training academy. What I learned quickly from the experience as a staffing company is that when opportunities are simply handed to someone, when that person doesn’t have to work for their dreams, then generally, they do not appreciate the opportunity or the work that goes in to securing their dream on their behalf. And so a pivot became necessary so that SkyAngels could continue to soar.

There was no guarantee when I started SkyAngels, six and a half years ago, that the company would succeed, but I had a vision and I believed in it and I believed that I was capable of seeing this vision come to fruition. There was nothing special about me. I wasn’t different from the other girls that had the same dream of flying around the world as a cabin attendant on private jets - to travel and experience the world as a career. It took me three months and hundreds of resumes, calls, and emails to land my first flight, but I never waivered from my goal of securing my first flight which I knew would unlock the door to more flights, my career, and eventually my company.
